IKA Works has introduced the IKA re­search and development mixer, which comes with an integrated speed control and is ideally suited to chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing in laboratory or pilot plant applications. The unit is de­signed for multiple uses including mixing, dispersing, wet grinding and powder incorporation. Four interchangeable mixing tools and up to three stages provide for maximum flexibility. Seven different mixing head options are also available. The mixer also has a double mechanical seal for processes requiring higher pressure, or containing highly abrasive solids. All product contact surfaces are 316 SS.
